Die Ferienwohnung war absolut OK. Fur unsere Begriffe ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Einrichtungs war praktsich, wenn auch nicht ganz neu.
Die Gegend war für unseren Urlaubszweck "Wandern" gut geeignet. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl anspruchsvoller Wanderungen. Die Anfahrt dauert z.T. bis zu 50 Minuten.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The apartment was absolutely OK. For our terms a very good price-performance ratio. The furnishings were practical, albeit not entirely new.
The area was suitable for the purpose of our holiday: "hiking". There is a good choice of hikes. The journey will take up to 50 minutes.
This was a peaceful, lovely place to stay, beautiful views, easy drive into Cortona, and a good jumping off place for just about anywhere in Tuscany. Elena was a great hostess, she was always there to help with anything that came up. She even got in her car and came and found us when we were lost trying to find the place on arrival. The villa was quite rustic, but comfortable and charming. There was a great outdoor stone terrace to enjoy the views and the peaceful sounds of the cuckoos,and really charming grounds to stroll around. The only drawback was that the kitchen could use some modernizing and organization; however, unless you really wanted to cook, this was no problem, it was adequate for our needs. The bathroom was good; a good shower. I would rent this villa again.
This location was a very good base to visit popular sites of Tuscany like Sienna, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Florence, San Gimignano, Cortona. Montevarchi. There was a very good restaurant within walking distance with great food and wines at a reasonable price, The Cantine. The villa was comfortable but the living quarters were on the small side for five. We found the stairway to the second floor somewhat dangerous for a child. We had a great stay.
This was our second visit to this property. A visitor gets an authentic experience in the Tuscan countryside. The trip there ends with a narrow dirt road. You overlook the valley of the Farma creek covered with dense vegetation. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere peaceful. The gardens are beautiful.
The house itself is old and charming. It's also very clean. Please note there is no washing machine, so you have to travel about 40 minutes to Rosia to find a laundry. There is none in Monticiano. The nearby town of Iesa has a terrific restaurant, l'Aia di Gino. We dined there five times in a week.
We took day trips to the San Galgano monastery, Montalcino, Massa Maritima and Lake Bolsena.
Adriana Chiantini, the owner, is a lovely lady who cares about her renters. It was good to see her again.
The villa was just stunning! The entire property was very well maintained and Rozanne and Leonardo were very gracious hosts, who made us feel at home. We would highly recommend this villa for a nice group of 10, but the other units on site are just as nice. The nearby villages and towns were very unique and friendly. We had a lovely diner our last night in nearby Lucolena; walking distance. We also had a chef in one evening. It was absolutely fabulous!
Absolutely fabulous. Great location, very nice beds and bathrooms, swimming pool and sauna/steam room. We had a wonderful time and I plan to post some images soon. Some friends from Hungary spent the week with us there. More than enough room for all of us and even a bonus common space for additional entertainment. The other Apartment was occupied by a couple from Finland and they were wonderful to get to meet other people from all over the world.
Had a great visit and look forward to returning on my next trip.
A great time was had by all. Wonderful location, central to all of the Chianti region, yet out of the way from most tourists. A local and friendly village nearby. Sergio and Stephano are wonderful hosts.
Villa Fabbroni was a perfect place to relax and make our home base to see the Chianti region with a friends and family. Sergio and Stephano where the perfect hosts, making each day special with the care and attention they gave to recommending places of interest, day trips, transport, and of course serving the delicious Tuscan food they know so well.
Fantastic villa in a great location, quite central to most places in Tuscany and very close to Sienna.
Owners on site and immediately make you feel very welcome.
Helpful local information was provided which ensured we saw all the sites of Tuscany as well as knew the easiest place to pick up a few groceries.
Villa was very clean and tidy and includes all the things anyone would need for their stay.
