Beautiful, modern holiday cottage in a sunny area, sitting right by the
sea on the east side of the island Rebbenesøy, 85 km north of Tromsø. A
lovely holiday home for those interested in fishing, either in the sea
or in many of the rich trout lakes on the island. By the house is a
sauna for 4 people, a heated room for drying clothes and a room with
table and chairs for staying dry in bad weather. The island also has a
magnificent and diverse landscape, perfect for hiking in the mountains.
This gives you the best view of the ocean in the west and the midnight
sun that can be seen during clear spring and summer nights. The island
is also famous for having many great sandy beaches, the closest lying
300 m from the house. You can rent a 16 ft boat with 30 hp and 6 life
jackets for sea fishing. An extra 15 ft boat, self-draining, with
central stearing and 50 hp, can be rented for 4.000 NOK per week.
Deposit 4.000 NOK. THE BOATS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE BETWEEN MAY 1ST AND
AUGUST 30TH. A 380 liter freezer is available. The house is suitable for
children. Its not allowed to bring your own boat.


A carferry to/from the island from Mikkelvik on Ringvassøy departs 5-6
times daily and takes 15 minutes. Day trips with car is recommended to
Tromsø, the City of the Arctic Sea, where several shopping malls and
restaurants can be found. With its 65.000 citizens, Tromsø is the
biggest city of Northern Norway, and has a long tradition with fishing
in the the Arctic Sea. Throughout history, the city has also been the
starting point for many polar expeditions. The citys museums will give
you a good insight into its fascinating history. In Tromsdalen, you can
take a cable car to the mountain top, giving you spectacular views of
the city.
