We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved. Inside the farm, nearby to the wine cellars where Chianti Classico DOCG is produced, is possible to taste and to purchase wine, oil and grappa of great personality, in a splendid frame constituted from old strokes of seasoned wood. It offers hospitality in 11 simple apartments. The furniture reflects the simplicity and the culture of the place, includes antique furniture, and is comfortable, but not luxurious. The apartments are composed of a dining room with kitchen, complete with oven and dishwasher, and living room with sofa and SAT TV. The sleeping area consists of one or more bedrooms served by one or two bathrooms with shower and hairdryer. Some apartments have the fireplace and private garden. All apartments are equipped with safe box, air conditioning or heating for the winter months. At guests' disposal: Dipped in the green there are the two swimming pools (one for adults and one for children): Swimming Pool 16 x 8 meter circular children’s pool (6 mt in diameter) Open from 01 April to 15 October Tennis court; in the big common garden there is the barbecue with tables and the chairs for the hosts. Free wi-fi connection at your disposal around the reception area. Shared laundry room. Distances: San Donato in Poggio with shps at 500 mts, Barberino val D'Elsa at 2km. Great location in the middle of Chianti. Close to the main highway. Highly recommend to stay there . We had unforgettable time. The rooms are clean and comfortable . The rooms were spacious and the views from the patios were excellent. Good linens and the ladies were nice enough to procure a microwave for us. We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments. My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated. We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel. I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved.
