Immersa nella campagna toscana, vicino ad Arezzo, la proprietà Santa Margherita offre ai suoi ospiti degli indimenticabili soggiorni in un ambiente ricco di fascino e storia.
La residenza d’epoca, sapientemente restaurata, è composta da sette appartamenti spaziosi e confortevoli, arredati secondo lo stile toscano. Ogni appartamento dispone di letto matrimoniale e divano letto, cucina totalmente equipaggiata, televisore satellitare HD, riscaldamento indipendente e suggestivo caminetto per le sere invernali.
L’ampio parco che circonda la villa è composto da prato e pineta e dispone di una splendida piscina, un ampio pergolato ed un originale forno a legna con barbecue, dove gli ospiti potranno cucinare liberamente nelle sere estive.
La posizione del Relais consente di visitare nell’arco di una giornata mete di grande interesse artistico e culturale come Firenze, San Gimignano, Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Cortona, Lucignano, Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Monterchi, La Verna e Camaldoli. Gli ospiti di Santa Margherita potranno inoltre godere di momenti di relax nelle aree comuni al piano terra, dove troveranno numerose brochure e pubblicazioni che li guideranno alla scoperta delle bellezze del territorio, piene di indirizzi e spunti per una vacanza all’insegna dell’arte, la cultura e la gastronomia.
IMPORTANTE: presso il Relais Santa Margherita, durante i fine settimana, si possono tenere dei matrimoni; la piscina e i giardini sono sempre aperti ai soci del country club.

Ogni primo weekend del mese strpitosa fiera dell'antiquariato e non solo nella vicina città d'arte di Arezzo.
Sempre ad Arezzo la giostra del Saracino,rievocazione storica in costume medievale che si svolge dal XIIIsecolo.
Da visitare l'Eremo di Camaldoli,la Verna, Poppi, Anghiari medioevale, Cortona Etrusca, non lontano il lago Trasimeno.

Santamargherita is located conveniently in a rural setting not far from Arezzo. The hosts were very helpful and the rooms were clean and adequate. It is ideal for a Tuscany area base if you are traveling by car. We took day trips to Siena and to Rome via express train from the Arezzo station. We should have stayed another day and day-tripped to Florence by train. The photo is a view from our window overlooking some old, quaint farm buildings. Highly recommend.

Zeer mooie locatie. Appartementen zelf niet heel ruim, maar volop ruimte in en om het huis. Zwembad in het weekend druk, maar zeer ruim en met voldoende meubilair. Goed restaurant op het terrein met korting voor gasten. Boodschappen op loopafstand en veel mooie uitstapjes te maken in de omgeving. Een locatie die een sjieke indruk maakt, maar mede door de hartelijke eigenaren/ medewerkers snel als thuis voelt.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very nice location. The apartments are not very spacious, but plenty of space in and around the house. Swimming pool is crowded during the weekend but very spacious and with adequate furniture. Good restaurant on site with discounts for guests. Within walking distance for grocery and many beautiful trips nearby. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf op Santamargherita! In het echt ziet het eruit zoals op de foto's en soms nog net even beter. Het is een rustige omgeving met alles erop en eraan en het ligt prachtig, even buiten het dorpje Castelluccio. In Castelluccio heb je een kleine dorpssupermarkt die alles biedt waar je als vakantieganger naar op zoek bent. Verder is in het dorp weinig te beleven. Maar Arezzo ligt op nog geen 10 km afstand waar je van alles en nog wat binnen handbereik hebt.
Tot slot: de eigenaresse (Claudia) en haar man (ben zijn naam vergeten helaas) zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ze hebben het kasteel (wat 50 jaar schijnbaar leeg heeft gestaan) erg mooi opgeknapt en zijn (naar eigen zeggen) pas gestart met de verhuur van de appartementen. Wat voor ons erg prettig was, is dat aan het zwembad veel geoorloofd is. Of je nu zelf je broodjes meeneemt of tijdens de lunch aan de luxe bar wat besteld, het maakt niet uit. Ook honden zijn er welkom, ze hebben zelf ook heel schattig beestje.
Wat eveneens prettig is, is dat je nauwelijks in de gaten hebt dat er andere gasten zijn. De een spendeert zijn dag bijvoorbeeld aan het zwembad terwijl de ander er op uit trekt.
In het weekend wordt het wat drukker vanwege de lokale bevolking die dan gebruik komt maken van het prachtig aangelegde zwembad en ligweide. Is juist leuk want zo is er net even wat meer rumoer en actie. Om vervolgens op maandag weer heerlijk rustig te zijn :-)
Voor ons in ieder geval een plek waar we graag naar toe terug willen. Prijs - kwaliteit is zeker in verhouding met elkaar!

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We really enjoyed our stay at Santamargherita! It looks like the pictures and sometimes even slightly better. It is a quiet area with all the trimmings and it is beautiful, just outside the village of Castelluccio. In Castelluccio you have a small town grocery store that offers everything you are looking for a holiday. Furthermore there is not much to do in the village. But Arezzo is located at only 10 km and here you have everything at your fingertips.
The owner (Claudia) and her husband (forgot his name unfortunately) are very friendly and hospitable. They renovated the castle (which has been empty for 50 years apparently) very nicely and just started renting the apartments. What for us was very nice is that at the pool a lot is justified. Whether you bring your own sandwiches or lunch at the luxurious bar, it does not matter. Dogs are welcome, they themselves have a very cute dog.
What is also nice is that you hardly realize that there are other guests. For example, one spends his day at the pool while other guests are out sightseeing.
During the weekend it gets a little busier because of the locals who come and use the beautifully landscaped pool and sunbathing area. It's fun because that's just a bit more noise and action. Then again on Monday very quiet :-)
For us at least one place where we like to go back to. Price - quality is definitely relative to each other!
