Questa casa era originariamente un vecchio fienile, recentemente trasformato in un delizioso cottage. Si trova in una splendida posizione, in alta collina, a 15 km a sud-est di Lucca, circondato da uliveti e pini. Ci sono fantastici panorami sulla campagna e sulla piana di Montecatini in lontananza.
Vicino alla zona della piscina ci sono un barbecue in muratura e un forno per la pizza, una doccia esterna ed una zona pranzo all'aperto.
Vicino al vialetto, a circa 20 metri dalla casa, c'è una piccola dependance con una camera da letto matrimoniale e un bagno.
La posizione isolata e l'accesso tramite una strada privata garantiscono pace e tranquillità agli ospiti di Al Mennucci. Questa strada ha una lunghezza di 1 km e non è asfaltata, pertanto non è adatta alle auto sportive o con assetto basso.

Wir verbrachten wunderbare 3 Wochen in Al Mennucci. Das Haus, der Pool und die fantastische Aussicht - hervorragend! Es war alles sauber und die gesamte Technik funktionierte einwandfrei. Aus eigener Erfahrung wissen wir, dass das nicht selbstverständlich ist.
Paola, die liebenswürdige Eigentümerin, sah regelmäßig nach dem Rechten, Wäsche und Betten wurden jede Woche neu gemacht.

Die Villa befindet sich am Ende einer relativ steilen privaten Straße. Vorsicht beim Hochfahren, dass man mit dem Auto nicht aufsitzt. Aber der Aufstieg lohnt sich!
Die Villa liegt wunderschön eingebettet auf einem Berg inmitten schönster Natur! Die Einrichtung ist sehr rustikal gehalten, was dem Ganzen aber eben den typischen Charakter verleiht.
Die Küche ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet (vom Schneebesen über Küchensieb, Zitronenpresse, Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr, Besteck, Mikrowelle, etc.) Es fehlt an nichts!
Der Außenbereich ist auch sehr schön angelegt und man fühlt sich hier oben wirklich pudelwohl.
Wir hatten einen wahnsinnig schönen Urlaub, mit vielen tollen Stunden und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
Zimmer
alle Zimmer hatten sehr bequeme Betten und ausreichend Stauraum in den Schränken. Bettwäsche und Handtücher liegen bereit.

Wir hatten zu keiner Zeit Bedenken oder Sorgen.

Wer gut zu Fuß ist, der kann die Umgebung auch fußläufig erkunden
Nennenswertes
- etwa 3,5km entfernt ist ein Conad mit einer großen Auswahl an Produkten - meine Eltern kamen mit dem Wohnmobil und durften dieses auf halber Strecke zum Haus auf einem kleinen Parkplatz vor einer anderen Villa parken. Nett fragen hilft :-) Die Besitzer sprechen Italienisch, Englisch und Deutsch - die andere Nachbarin hat 3 sehr liebe Hunde, einer davon, ein Jackrussel-Terrier Namens Otto war immer wieder bei uns oben an der Villa (trotz geschlossenem Tor) und wollte Stöckchen-holen spielen. Wir hatten seine Besuche immer sehr genossen und hatten ihn gern bei uns. Falls aber jemand nicht mit Hunden klar kommt, der sollte hier gleich zu Beginn intervenieren, damit er nicht jeden Tag kommt :) - Es gibt einen Pizzaofen und Grillbereich im Garten. Unsere Pizzen sind super geworden. Nur etwas Zeit einplanen, bis der Pizzaofen auf Temperatur ist (ca. 3h)

Schönes Haus, einsam auf einem Hügel gelegen. Die Auffahrt über eine kurvige Schotterstraße ist nichts für tief liegende Autos, hier sollte mal ein bischen ausgebessert werden.Wir waren zu viert in dem Haus und hatten daher viel Platz.

This is a difficult property to rate. The house is beautifully designed, well-equipped and is extremely well-tended. But - it is very small (the pictures suggest it is larger than it actually is), the access road is challenging (we had a small SUV and my husband, an accomplished driver, still had difficulty navigating the steep switchbacks) and it was unpleasant being outside because of the numerous stink bugs which landed on us regularly and were frequently getting into the house. As there were only two of us, we were comfortable inside in inclement weather, but the sitting area would be too small for larger parties.

Casa con todo lo que hace falta para sentirse con en su propia casa. Piscina de una limpieza remarcable. La vista es de ensueño. Paola, the owner, encantadora señora siempre dispuesta a dar una mano. Es cierto que el camino hasta llegar a la casa es un poquito complicado, pero despacio se llega sin ningún problema. También vinieron en 2 oportunidades a cocinar a casa, distintos teams y personalmente valoré mucho poder quedarme en casa, disfrutar del lugar y cenar disfrutando de la vista y de la excelente comida italiana.
Si algo tendría que decir algo para mejorar sería mas tomacorrientes en el área de la cocina por ejemplo. Almohadas de diferente espesor y poca cosa más.
Muy contenta por esta semana en Al Mennicci y ya con ganas de regresar...
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] House with everything it takes to feel at home. Pool remarkably clean. The view is dreamlike. Paola, the owner, is a lovely lady always willing to lend a hand. It is true that the road to the house is a bit complicated, but slowly you get there without any problem. They also came 2 times to cook at home, different teams and personally I valued being able to stay at home, enjoy the place and have dinner enjoying the view and the excellent Italian food.
If something would have to say something to improve it would be more outlets in the kitchen area for example. Pillows of different thickness and little else.

Wir 6 Person und ein Hund haben einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub dort verbracht. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Sehr ruhig und Idyllisch, super Ausblick. Wir sind sehr nett von der Eigentümerin Paula empfangen worden. Die Anfahrt ist zwar sehr holprig aber langsam schafft es jeder normale PKW

We loved Al Mennucci! Perfect location, gorgeous view, wonderful setting...best vacation ever! Just be aware the road is a bit tough to navigate up to the house, but if you can rough it up, it is worth it!

We had a fantastic time at Al Mennucci! Right from the start - the instructions to get to this Villa were fantastic - very detailed. As Al Mennucci is a bit hard to find (quite isolated and quiet - a good thing) having these instructions where extremely valuable. The road up to Al Mennucci is very rough - you definitely need a good vehicle. Once there - the villa is everything you see in the photos. The pool is wonderful. We used the Outdoor Wood or Coal Burning BBQ every night. All beds and all rooms are nice. The Kitchen is extremely well equipped. The villa is incredibly clean and neat - and someone comes every Mon,Wed and Fri to clean up.
After you drive down the hill to the main road - there are good and inexpensive restaurants within a 5min drive as well as a well stocked grocery store (a EuroSpar).

Tolle Lage mit einem wunderschönen Blick in die Weite. Das Haus liegt sehr romantisch auf einer Anhöhe, die Naturstrasse ist für geübte Fahrer kein Problem, Geländewagen bevorzugt. Sehr ruhig und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Anfang Oktober konnte man den Pool noch benutzen. Wir haben die Ruhe und die Freiheit mit unseren Hunden sehr genossen. Die Inhaberin ist überaus freundlich und hat sogar für uns eingekauft und gekocht, Italienisch Kentnisse sind von Vorteil. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

The house is very romantic on a hill, the gravel road is no problem for experienced riders, preferable with off-road vehicles. Very quiet and equipped with every comfort. In early October you could still use the pool. We have enjoyed the peace and freedom with our dogs very much. The owner is extremely friendly and has even made some shopping and cooked for us; some knowledge of Italian language is an advantage. Perfect location, silence and privacy. Very suitable for 6 persons.
No negative comments. I would the owners suggest to improve as well the cooling as well the freezing capacity as the washing equipment.
Taking also into consideration the location and the time of the year the refrigerator and freezing equipment is insufficient. Washing machine is too old.

What a view. Yes, do not take a low rider to this location however we did have a front wheel drive Fiat wagon and did not have a problem. The villa was immaculate and we would recommend it to anyone wanting an out of the way spot to vacation. We used this villa to stage many day trips. Paula our hostess was only seen on the first and last day but came and cleaned several times. We were very satisfied.
