This anglers cottage is located by the sea in Rong west of Bergen. This is a realm of fish! The holiday house sits sheltered in a little valley only 350 metres from the harbour where you can rent a boat. The boat is a Finnmaster 17 ft with 25 hp Yamaha 4-stroke motor, Garmin 5" chartplotter/GPS/sonar, available for rent. The house was new in 2015. In two of the rooms you can combine the beds into double beds. There is a large terrace with a gas grill and outdoor furniture, and a trampoline and and swings for children. Choose between different kinds of fishing on the sea or from land. There is a big range of fish species and you can catch as much as you like. Or just relax by the house and enjoy the coastal atmosphere with its rich birdlife. You can go for walks in the archipelago or find your own secret uninhabited islet. There is a lake only 200 meters from the house with a sandy beach where you can go swimming if the temperature allows it. In the same lake you can catch trout up to 1 kg. Øygarden municipality has a rich fishing history, and people have lived of fish for centuries. Visit the coastal museum if you wish to learn more. Øygarden is connected to the mainland by bridges and you can drive to Bergen with all its attractions within 45 minutes. Bergen is also a good starting point for day excursions to the fjords with its majestic mountains. Electricity is included in the price. Linen is available for rent and in addition you can rent a large and small towel at NOK 150.
